Dried Banana Slices
Along with the dried apple rings, I also sliced a banana into thin pieces and popped them onto the Excalibur trays. Hours later, they came out chewy and very sweet, with an intense banana flavor. My mother tasted one and immediately gushed, "Nature's candy."

i don't know anybody who even owns a dehydrator. i'm impressed.
I was just saying that I wanted a dehydrator. Now I'm jealous!
Heavenly! I've made something similar but just baked them in the oven at a low heat. I so want a dehydrator though.
Beside of dried banana slices, we also have dried jack fruit slices, very crunchy!
This is great! I wish I had a dehydrator too! The banana slices look amazing, and you should definitely try to dehydrate jackfruit, it becomes very caramel-y!
DO you love your dehydrator? I have been eyeing one for a long time but don't know if I would use it enough!!
Wow,your dried bananas turned out great! I have an Excalibur too-what temp and time do yo leave your in for- mine never turn out that good!
Now I need a dehydrator ;-)

I've wanted to de hydrate bananas for quite a while now. I even bought an inexpensive machine from Walmart and had to return it because it was SO LOUD. What kind of dehydrater do you use? You say the chips come out chewy...what kind of shelf life do they have? Can you freeze them to get a longer shelf life? SO many questions on this topic.
I used to freezed bananas too. They tasted like ice cream...almost. I agree with you mom, nature's candy!
These look good but I'd have to taste one before I decide - I really love the fried banana chips (totally unhealthy) that they sell at Asian markets!
Delicious. Lots also in the Philippines.
Wow! They look perfect.
Looks like sand dollars :)
I must invest in one of these, these look perfect!
Those dried bananas sound good!
Wow, your last few posts really have me wanting to get a food dehydrator. My husband was just asking what I want for Mother's Day and I think I have an answer now.
These look great! My oven is convection, so technically I can dehydrate stuff in it. I haven't tried it yet though.
Hi, I actually just found your blog. It's pretty neat.
I love dried bananas. It's one of the more well know Filipino snacks.
I look forward to reading future posts from you. =)
